What makes Charlotte different from other speakers?
First, because she speaks from experience – literally.
She has been instructing people on how to “get smart” all of her professional life. A former Vice President of Investment Strategies and National Spokesperson for American Express, she developed a sales and marketing initiative to help women investors throughout the United States. This eventually launched her speaking business to prove to others that they too can achieve success professionally, and in their bank accounts. Charlotte gained expertise in the nuts and bolts of business: sales, marketing and leadership from her years at powerhouse corporations such as US Banks, Xerox and over 20 years at American Express. By taking risks, making mistakes and gathering information, she grew into the kind of expert that you can trust and learn from.
And second, even in her personal life she is the picture of progression to improvement.
Like so many people, she did not have a specific career choice in mind when starting out. She simply wanted to attain some level of accomplishment to help her family out of poverty. “I think this helped me to be a scrappy, go-getter type person. Nothing was handed to me, and we went without a lot, so throwing in the towel has never been an option.” Attaining success in your profession and in your existence requires the knowledge to recognize what is getting in your way and the fearlessness to transform. Charlotte is an inspiring speaker – down to earth and accessible – who draws on her challenged background which led to her achievement as a highly accomplished speaker, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Now Charlotte helps others improve their lives by teaching them what she knows. She understands that dealing with work, life and finances can be challenging, but it can also be fun and energizing, and she brings this type of attitude to the table in every presentation.
Charlotte works with companies large and small, and associations throughout the country to educate and encourage the advancement of growth and achievement in all aspects of life. She has made appearances on CNN and other national and regional media outlets, and she is a regular guest on Houston’s Fox 26 Morning News. Charlotte is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and is also a member of the National Speakers Association.

Will Charlotte’s talk be tailored to our group or theme?
Yes. Charlotte is committed to making your event a huge success; in order to do so she needs to know a few things about your group to make sure they get what they need. After booking, you should complete a Pre-Event Questionnaire in order for Charlotte to personalize the message. She also likes to interview several meeting participants before the event to get various opinions and the “inside scoop”. You’ll find the Questionnaire in the Download Area, or you can click on the link below to fill it out online.

How should we set up the room?
A raised platform is best for more than 50 people. This provides a clear, unobstructed view during the presentation.
Charlotte is a walker. If a podium or head table are part of your meeting, please make sure there is room for Charlotte to stand near the audience. She will not be speaking from a lectern.
If your program will last more than 30 minutes before Charlotte’s presentation, consider giving the audience a brief stretch break before introducing Charlotte.
Don’t put one chair directly behind the other. If you stagger each row, audience members won’t have someone’s head right in front of them to block the view.
Match the number of chairs to the number of people; keep extra chairs stacked up at the back of the room to avoid empty seats.
Make sure the entire room is well lit, especially the stage area. If spotlights are available to put on the presenter, please consider firing them up!

What audio visual needs does she have?
A wireless lavalier microphone.
Projection screen.
LCD projector on small skirted table/cart.
A laptop computer to run PowerPoint.
